Toolbox Talks

CSAM has developed a series of fifteen-minute presentations for you to use and share. Toolbox Talks are a proven method of conducting training sessions—especially for those who are a shy to teach. CSAM also has a book of ToolBox Talks available for purchase at our office for $25. You’ll find public speaking confidence you never knew you had with the help of these useful fact sheets. Section 44(3) of the Workplace Safety and Health Act requires each employer with five or more workers at a construction site to provide safety education or toolbox talks every two weeks for 30 minutes. The generally accepted practice is to conduct weekly toolbox talks for 15 minutes. Toolbox Talks aim to provide quality information and generalized practices to construction employers and employees to keep construction safe and to reduce accidents and lower costs.
